Nice looking machine, and yes they are pretty peppy even with 2 people on. Let's hope that we don't lose too much snow with the warmer temps they are predicting! Haven't had a chance with o get out yet, Warwick hasn't opened trails yet, but Strathroy has ,but I noticed they closed them today to try and save the base! Good luck with that! Nice looking trails , looks familiar been up to Blyth a couple of years ago. Happy Sledding!! Cheers Gosnek.

The sled seems to ride nice and smooth plus it's got nice power when you want it. The only thing that would be nice is if the track wasn't so noisy. I have only ran it in touring mode for now until I get use to the sled then I'll try it out in sport mode and see the difference.

Ear Buds with you Favorite Music take the track noise away instantly!

I put Simmons Gen II skis on it (10" wide). The front end floats now and handling is much better. Would probably be a bear to turn without the power steering.
I also had a set of Gen II on my 2013 TF. I really liked the extra flotation, but was disappointed with handling on the trail. I also found them somewhat difficult to steer, even with EPS. I've since switched to Yamaha mountain skis and Studboy Deuce bars, which offer a better compromise for my type of riding IMO. I do about 50/50 riding between lakes/woods trails and groomed trails.
Great pics guys, glad you are able to get out riding - I can't wait!

My wife has a 2012 tf and the whole family loves it. Couch on ski's. Plenty of power and the power steering is mind blowing. Just don't get it stuck.

Ok we put 300 kms on the sled yesterday and after 12 hours of riding I can say this thing has some balls yet comfortable to ride but I think that the toe needs to be adjusted because it was constantly darting from side to side on the trails.
It now has enough kms for its first service so I'll get the dealer to check it.
All in all pretty satisfied

Toe adjustment isn't going to help your darting IMO. I good set of Woody's Doolies or Stud Boy Duece Bars will make the darting go away.

Doesn't it have tuner skis? If so, that should eliminate or reduce darting. Could very well be that the toe is off.

It does have tuner skis and that's why I was wondering if the toe had any bearing on darting

I think there's an alignment write-up here somewhere or a YouTube video that shows how to check toe. Not that difficult to do or just get the dealer to check it out.

I ended up putting on carbides that worked with the tuner skies....only time it darts is on a beaten up straight trail ...ill let you know what i used tomorrow... But if yer taking it in, get them to check yer alignment. Nice to hear yer enjoying the sled...Great machine!

I took the Tuners off of my 14 LTX. I wouldn't say they darted....."hunting" is the term I used. Put the skis from my 05 Vector on with Dual Runner carbides = no more hunting.

I to have just purchased one of these.
a 2017 new/non current.
Plan on setting up suspension as mentioned..
Have any of you noticed engine growl (loud) at 5500rpm only?
The track howl at 50k to 60k is almost not bearable for a $15000 machine..Not pleased. My 05 RS Venture has none...MY 13 VL also had none..
Also need to find what you've done for luggage/rear rack since Yamaha no longer supports their top line touring machine with any touring accessories...

You're either going to have to learn to live with the track howl or get rid of the sled.I to have just purchased one of these.
