Guy's I need some help! Converting my 2016 Mtx 153 None Turbo into a trail sled and wanting more MPH hoping to touch 100 mph Here's is what I've done so far.
-Thunder products HH clutch kit.
- 22/37 gears with 7 tooth drivers
- 8jp belt
- 6/1 wrap
- Stock track shaved down to 1.5
- Stock Exhaust
- Stock ECU
Everything stock except gears and clutching.
I've made two adjustments with weights and still getting same result (terrible)
1st test run (4 wot runs on hard pack)
Out side temp -5c
2700- 2900 engagement
7100 rpm at 54 mph
8750 rpm at 84 mph
Marked primary and secondary with marker. 1/2 left on primary and 3/8 from the bottom on secondary.

Second Run
-18c
Took a little weight out from the tip.
2700-2900 Engagement
7100 rpm at 54mph
9000 rpm at 85mph

Pulls good to 75 than falls on its face. Track tension is good. Ski alignment is good I can't see why I shouldn't be able to get 100mph out her I know its a lot of track to turn . I've had my 2009 144 nytro flying clutches well tuned. Any suggestions! Is 22/37 to tall !

I have a '15 MTX 153 and this is what I did:
-Full set up from Excell Motorsports their air intake, exhaust and clutching-all of which they do not make anymore.
-backcountry 1.75 track.
-21/41 gearing.
-hard pack run-9000 rpm- 93 mph. As per Aaron at Excell this is what it should do- he was right.
-this setup runs and works very good.
-my understanding to get anymore out of this sled--turbo!!!

Good info! thank you. I think once I get my clutches tuned properly with some more testing i'll see 90-95 I could be dreaming but at least dreaming doesn't cost anything!
