So I have the 2016 and like it so far, my first new sled and only had a skidoo 800 triple before this.
I use it for ice fishing, pulling my huts and equipment.
I'm in southern Ontario and don't really see much snow, but may run into it where i go to fish.
Last year, my first year using it, I was on a couple lakes of bare windswept ice and had a traction problem and an overheating problem
Q 1 What product is the best for scratching the ice and cooling the heat exchanger
and
Q 2 I have the deep 1.5" or 2" track that came with my sled and need more traction, I was told by my dealer that I cant stud this track without risking damage to the cooling system, but sled guys say i can.
Im looking at Kold cutter screws or the bergstrom screws
Any help would be appreciated,

Thank you

are the lugs beefy enough to put i grips into them? mrsled likes them.

i would go with barn of parts ski mount ice scratchers.

Good sharp carbides and studs will loosen up the surface and aid in cooling
I run the rail mounted cable scratchers and if we are running on bare ice s lot like in the spring I’ll ad a bolt to a hole in each ski extending into the ice.
