2016

Our '12 Vector is still a pretty good sled. Better than pretty good…but there are some things I wish Yamaha would address . Not in any order of importance
50 lbs of ice hanging on rear suspension after every ride
This exhaust donut thing
No hinges on any access panels…only clips (not friendly)…even checking oil is a pain
Standard windshield needs a little more updraft
A BETTER REAR SUSPENSION…AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN "RMOTION"

Things that keep us with Yamaha…In order of importance
1. EPS
2. Quality
3. Motor
Oh, did I mention EPS

Semper Fi & Fairwinds
Rocky18 AKA Mike

Time to demo a new Ski Doo Renegade Enduro. Plus no new 500. Dissapointed

I thought Yamaha said new sled every year for the next five years. What happened to that??

The saddest part IMO about the updated Apex rear skid, and changes to the Vector means those two sleds in their current state will now be around for another 4 to 5 years! Since no one can seem to convince the bean counters to build what the masses want, they can't possibly release all this new stuff on these 10 year old sleds and then completely go a different direction within the next year of two, correct?
What not happy pure Yamaha Vector & Apex still with us but improved? Would you be happier if no improvements & Yamaha discontinues both Apex & Vector. I like both sleds have been improved & are still with us otherwise it would be all Viper & I would be looking at doo 130s which are very Vector like throttle by wire with 3 different modes which are useless to me. Very happy that Apex keeps keeping on.

They are calling 1.75 with new skid new models up to you to deceide for yourself the meaning of new ...but pure Yamaha very much alive & well for 2o16.

Lots of changes but just not that excited.
Way too many Viper models. Would hate to be dealer trying to explain differences to the average joe.
No Vector LTX wow!? I just dont see that many people wanting a 146" x 1.75" Apex/vector even if it is coupled suspension.

It's like putting snowshoes on an elephant!

More versions of the Viper or basically the option of an Apex with a bigger lug track...usually buy a new sled every 4-5 years but for now, unless I get another brand, will keep what I have.

How often are you guys buying new sleds? Improvements on the best,I like it. I bought my 05 vector to ride into the ground, with only 9000mi there is a long way to go. why is it necessary to have the latest and greatest,to say you have it? I am happy to say I ride a yamaha. This is only my opinion.

Hey now........ I bought my last new sled in 05. At 12,000+ miles it's just getting broken in...Besides I don't care for the way the 08 and newer sleds fit me... And to work on them is just "STUPID" I still like that 900 Ace.. Hmmmmmmmm MM.

I expected to see some significant HP gains on the Vipers via turbo, supercharger or motor redesigns. I am at about the limit to the changes and upgrades I can make to my Nytro to get it to handle/ride better. Its value is no longer worth the upgrades so I would like to see HP increase on the Vipers which would make me want to move over to one.
