Hi,a friend has a 141 with 1.6 lug,it is now studded, not sure what length the shop installed, plus I suggested they install cable scratchers,as he was overheating on a regular basis on hard trails. And he asked me if 100 mph speedo was all she had,i said more than likely yes, could be a tad more on big groomed trails, but it only has 8 tooth drivers, even though it does have our 21/41 gears the 17 LTX-LE has,but our 9 tooth and short 1.25 lug allows for much more top speed. So I guess what do you guys who have similar sled as his,see for top speed, either speedo or gps speed. He told me his brother has a 2010 ape,and he claimed it runs 118 speedo,i told him if like most 2010 or older apes, than it may be off by 10% so he told me in a field he could beat him bad,but they were not anywhere up to top speed.

On of these 141’s in our group. Unstudded. If I recall correctly, Will run 105-110 on speedo on hard pack trail.

Not so sure I believe that bob,i had a 15 xtx that had a fairly accurate speedo, but even that one vrs gps would depending on conditions, could be off 10 mph, they all are off depending on set up and snow conditions, even my 2017 winder can be off up to 8 plus mph.2009 and 2010 Apex speedos are very close to GPS and actually more accurate then the 2011+ Apexs...the earlier Apex speedos were way out by around 15%.

The 8 tooth is a 3 inch pitch, but total diameter is still less than the 9 tooth 2.86. However, this is what I had last year and I could get over 120 on the speedo(tuned).Hi,a friend has a 141 with 1.6 lug,it is now studded, not sure what length the shop installed, plus I suggested they install cable scratchers,as he was overheating on a regular basis on hard trails. That setup is still higher gearing than what I have now, 24/50 with 2.86 and I have gps 113 with the longer 8DN belt(revs were over 9000)

They really are bob,if we are on very smooth none slip trails, than maybe we can get a better read, vrs gps,but we both know that hardly ever happens. So how have your year been riding wise? Mine now that I am retired has been very slow,i have the time, just not any extra cash like I once had lol.LOL...most of them are Dream Meters
Lots of snow in North Western Ontario but has been very cold until lately. Our group has just started riding regularly so starting to rack up the miles now.

Yes last week here in northern maine,we have had some cold as well,i got some wind burn on my cheeks thru my shield,my new maodular 3 doo helmet lets a tad more air thru it than my old mod 1 doo helmet, not sure why, love the helmet otherwise, but when you get older, our skin is more sensitive to the cold,so I am told lolLots of snow in North Western Ontario but has been very cold until lately. There should be no problem, try holding WO,only one way to find out if belt will blow or not,how many miles on 8jp belt? Give the ultimax xs 825 a try,my winder likes it better than the stock 8jp and you can buy it on e-bay for under 100 bucks.19 xtx le 141. 1.75 I dont have the nerve to wind out the winder. Has anyone found a 9 tooth driver to put on the xtx? Or just playing with gearing. Looking while drive shaft is out due to the calliper bearing spinning on the shaft. Trying to gain a little in 660’ runs.

Just adjust gearing. There is no 141 track with a 2.86 pitch to my knowledge.Has anyone found a 9 tooth driver to put on the xtx? Or just playing with gearing. Looking while drive shaft is out due to the calliper bearing spinning on the shaft. Trying to gain a little in 660’ runs.
