Well... there you have it, The sidewinder guy's should be pleased lots of options also the SRX with the trick suspension borrowed from Cat, Viper guys have been cut back, personally I thought they would have focused alittle more with the viper platform, it doesn't appear they even got some panel upgrades either, I believe there will be further cuts next year focusing only on the sidewinder platform and the youth sno scoot, other than some new stickers, trick shock suspension ,QS 3 shocks which are very good, nothing really new, a lot of focus on the sidewinder, I guess that's what's selling, Yamaha is slowly on its way out of the sled business, the realignment within Yamaha is phase out the sled division, very sad

"To gain speed on what’s already the sport’s fastest sled – a Yamaha insider told us the goal was adding 6 mph to the top end – Yamaha lowered the ride height by using new dual-rate springs on the ski suspension and on the front arm of the skid while also utilizing a new rear torsion spring." It's not a secret, and it's not one number for every sled. Get your measuring tools out...cut enough off the back of your secondary so you have just enough clearance to run it with one washer. Once that's done...go out and test, with various shims behind. measure belt temps, and find what works for you.
Went out and did this with my sled.
Thanks for the info on it.

I don't remember if this has been posted, but it's the rest of the SRX teaser vid.

Let's face it Cat did all these things to the ThunderCat and then put Yammi stickers on it.
Next year Yamaha is a Cat motor supplier with no sleds of their own.

No new plastics for Vipers?? WTF is Yamaha turning into CAT.. This is a classic Cat game.. Come with new plastics, which Yamaha brought to the Sidewinder and then CAT to the thundercat. BUT wait you can only have the upgraded good stuff if you buy "THIS MODEL". Every sled made in Cat plant should have the upgraded plastic panels! Come on man!
O and wait "you can only get these SPECIAL adjustable shocks on these models"
I know I might be ranting a bit BUT this is all marketing BS to try and create more sales for basically the same sleds. Cat has been TRYING TO perfect this technique since 2012. I will ALWAYS be a Cat guy but I really Hope Textron brings a better approach then this.
Still love my winder and Yamaha clutches>When my feet/ boots get pulled up into the upper foot area on acceleration and my arms get pulled out of the sockets!

Cat has many option, not so much for us.
Viper, 137 only, one model, old plastics, old brake lever, old switches left side, base shocks only. Looks to me like Viper will be gone next year, this is sad.
Cat 7000, 137 only, at least 3 models, NEW GEN plastics with LED lighting, and electric shock options, upgraded brake lever and handlebar switches ect.
Tcat with or without Electric shocks, Also 9000 with or without electric shocks, and even a snopro in a 129 turbo version if wanted....and can still get top dog shocks in the RR.
We dont even have a version like RR anymore...and no 129 at all.
The more I look at this, the more my 129 with Qs3r is worth.....you cannot even get Qs3R anymore on any Yamaha.

The 7000 Cat does have new plastics.
Not sure why Yamaha didn't get them.
They only offer the cheapest shock on the Viper too.
Why not put together a nice package if you're only going to offer one version.
