Hopefully you are on to something if not my Apex might be due for a turbo time will telldeciphering the patent it looks to have the apex engine super charged or a turbo..when they patented the sidewinder engine they called it a supercharger so it could be either i guess!!!

HMMM..how about completely removing the cam, timing chain and all the gears related to the valve train and going strictly to an electronic valve system activated by solenoids.
This would make the engine much more compact and at least 30-40% lighter???

Maybe 3-4% lighter. The cams, cam chains and gears do not weigh that much
