Yamaha is not the least bit worried .....they said inventory reduction program for 2019 plus SRX and they were here to stay in the future. 2020 is the year after inventory reduction program thus the speculation. I took them at their word and if closing the snowmobile division that was one heck of a bold face lie and there will be a lot of pissed off customers!

Back to the 2020 release and a few nuggets of gold out of the TRF camp.
I'll just leave these here.
Obviously a chassis design, a belt drive rather than chain, and a single cylinder roughly 300cc. Hmmm..
Belt drive is not new and with no reverse its kinda a steep and deep thing, one lung 300 is sweet and good for the kids. The chassis is who knows what frame design almost looks like a boss style seat with an exhaust sticking out from under it. Partly looks like a flat panel frame with a wierd tube frame up front. Maybe its a luggage rack like on 4 wheelers

And this just in from Port Yamaha via Facebook as of yesterday, one of the largest "TRUE BLUE" yamaha dealers in the nation:
In 2017, Port Yamaha celebrated 50 years of selling and servicing Yamaha Motorsports products. Being an exclusive Yamaha dealership has allowed us to offer a diverse variety of products, and we truly believe these products are the leaders of quality and reliability in the industry today. Port Yamaha has been a family owned dealer on this journey and Yamaha Motor Corporation has been an extended part of this family. We have an amazing relationship with this great company and their crew. We will always cherish our friends at Yamaha.
2018 begins the next chapter for Port Yamaha. We’ve initiated a new relationship with the makers of Arctic Cat snowmobiles and Textron off-road ATVs and UTVs. Yamaha has been working with Arctic Cat snowmobiles since 2014, affording us hands-on experience over the past five years. Needless to say, we are impressed with Arctic Cat products. We’ve recently spent time in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, touring the Arctic Cat/Textron factory and sharing thoughts and ideas with the top brass; their passion is admirable. We’ve driven the ATVs and UTVs at the factory test facility and at ERX in Elk River, Minnesota. Once again, we were impressed.
With 50 years in the rearview mirror, we look forward to the next 50 with Yamaha, Arctic Cat, and Textron. None of this would, or could, be possible without the dedicated crew at Port Yamaha, our mutually beneficial relationship with Yamaha and other vendors, and you, our amazing customer base. We thank you for the past 50 years of business and look forward to working with you for the next 50. #50strong #yamacat #newchapter #keepermovin #sharethenews #catisoutofthebag
What that tells me is Port Yamaha is becoming Port Arctic Cat and then there where three! Please stop Calling them Yamacats, they are Catamahas!

And if you take a Cat chassis and put a Yamaha engine in it you have a cat, do you mean bigger then the slap they just gave when they dropped their entire line of sleds and replaced them with Cats? But a partnership is a partnership, you share! If you take a cat engine and put it in a cat chassis what do you have? A Cat! It doesn't matter what stickers are on the outside or the color of the plastics. It would be 100% Cat if that happens. If that happens that would be the biggest slap in the face Yamaha could possible do.

For 2020, if Yamaha take's Polaris's rear suspension, Ski Doo's instrumentation, and Arctic Cat's front end. They will be the AMC of cars ! Just a thought! LOL

More picture up on another forum with the 300 single. Very phazer-ish style chassis and the motor is 1/2 the cat 600di engine. Doubt Yami would market that in a blue version, though maybe with the Kodiak 450 or 700 mill? chassis sure seems setup to support a 4 stroke also.

Yes that was a slap in the face too. I'm more so talking about the 2 stroke options. I know the 4 stroke isn't going anywhere but if they bring a 2 stroke to the market it better not be a cat chassis and a cat motor with Yamaha stickers on it.And if you take a Cat chassis and put a Yamaha engine in it you have a cat, do you mean bigger then the slap they just gave when they dropped their entire line of sleds and replaced them with Cats?
