I agree they should have bought them when they were cheap.

That's good that Textron is all gun-ho at the moment but as soon as they realize there is $#!t for return on investment the bean counters will spay Cat quicker than a panther on a hot tin roof. Yammy is still in it or they're lying their asses off to clear the shelves.
He also said that Textron will be investing a lot into Cat! They plan on being on top in a few years! He also said Yamaha screwed up by not buying Cat!

Arctic cat will be on top in a few years because of textrons deep pockets....and if yamaha is still a part of that, I’m cool with that.

View attachment 139077 View attachment 139078 View attachment 139079 View attachment 139080 We need a fake dossier so corporate Yamaha offices can be wire tapped!
Saw a lot of procross cats on tug hill yesterday, a few yammy cats, and 2 sidewinders, including the one I was on. Too many ski doos...lol...several real Yamahas, like nytros and a rage and vectors and apexs. ...plus a softball game at the hook and ladder, wearing snoshoes!!
I think Yammy will work with cat as long as it's mutually beneficial. I can actually see Cat designers hitting a homerun, with improved yamaha quality, and maybe get some behind the scenes tech for the 2 strokes, and rebuild thier reputation. New completely Japanes sled....I just don't see it in the near future.
Some tug hill 'bilin pics...it ain't over til the fat sleds blow!!lol
Whats a Yammy cat? If its a cat chassis and has a Yamaha engine its a Catamaha!

If the production cut was made to deplete inventory which I believe it was. Then there won't be new sleds till those in inventory are gone even if it takes 3 years. That's how it works with the other lines. So YOU guys need to go buy up all the sleds in inventory so I can get my hands on the 2 cyl gear reduction 900 cc Turbo with Cast bulkhead,ProCross/Race front end and Carbon Fibre tunnel and a REAL SRX with a 210 hp NA Crossplane 4cyl in it. See the dilemma?
LMAO! I'll dream with ya!

And maybe something you’ll have for the rest of your life... no not a SRX an STDWell......had a minor setback last night. I got talked into gambling. Didn't go good at all.
I'm sick about it.
God damn it! At least with hookers and booze you would have had a hang over and a smile on your face!

And I'm just over here trying to find a left over 16+ MTX haha
Will be quite interesting to see what yamaha does, i am not overly sure where it's going TBH. I can't see it, butttt i want to be wrong and see a full yamaha sled. But whether they buy arctic cat or not, their partnership has worked well for both sides.

Well the most important part of the sled is the engine!
If the most important part was the engine and the chassis did not matter everyone everyone would be riding Apexes, Vectors and Nytros! Even a poor engine can drive the chassis and the leader is Ski-Doo with a two stroke that will in no way last like any of the aforementioned engines. The reason people jumped from Yamaha to Cat was for the chassis! The engine is only icing on the cake. Its a Catamaha! Or a Cat with Yamaha stickers because in reality they are the same sled!

Maybe they will build sleds again but I think this is just a way to clear inventory before they close the doors. If they are going to make a comeback they have to wow the industry with a radically new and unfortunately very expensive sled! The talk of a carbon fiber chassis will increase cost of chassis and sled by a huge amount. I don't think I and or many others can afford the cost. The Apex was running 16 grand to 17grand the Sidewinder now topping 20 grand add a carbon fiber chassis and the price won't come down, I expect 22,000 minimum! Going to have to keep an eye on the 900turbo (150hp), right hp still a turbo though!

For what it's worth, I seen three gooseneck Yamaha trailers with Wisconsin plates at Cooke City, MT. this past weekend. I am sure they were probably doing final high elevation calibration for 2019's but I'm guessing they were also testing future products as well.
I wouldn't think they would be planning on going out of the snowmobile business with that kind of investment of resources.
