For sure! I agree with this. I believe it’s new chassis. When Cat will only sell you a sled on spring order...something is brewing...could be a number of things, but definitely is not business as usual.

Amen!LOL Joe.....
I still find it interesting that you feel the need to go into every single forum around the internet to defend the 900t....
Yeah the 900t(iTC) is hated by many, and the ones who will 'get used to the iTC' or 'put up with the iTC' will certainly be happy and post often in the thread of "this is the best sled ever" over on DT.
No need to get mad at me Joe, Its all the magazines and Tv show test riders who say this too. Not too mention most performance type riders. For the cruisers who ride with their wives it seems to be a non issue for sure. The guys that are happy shouldn't be worried about what others think.
Have a nice summer brother

X2!Dan, I want to commend you for your diplomacy.
I have been on TY for many years, and you are no doubt, one of the best when it comes to choosing the high road or the low road. Thanks Bro for keeping all civil.

If your going to another brand, can you just go already, maybe another site will open their arms wide open for you.. we dont need to hear all about why you changed, or a head to head comparison why you are leaving, especially on this site. Leave the TY Site members alone and just go. There are many that love their sleds and dont need to hear your sob story or pitty party's or whatever you want to call it. If you not happy with your sled by all means get a different one but dont try to making us follow just because you like to hear yourself talk.

This is for you Joe....lolDan I see those drama classes are working out good for you. I don't think a 300 lb engine in a procross chassis will have any effect on the "horrible" 900t itc.
I have lost count of all the ex Sidewinder owners who have and are switching to the "horrible" 900t Doo. I get pm's all the time and they all tell me how much happier they are now that they are back on Doo.
As a matter of fact a friend of mine who has posted here many times just sold his 270 hp tuned 50th anniversary Winder on a 2020 900t XRS Manta green His dealer will be installing a Hurricane tune before he picks it up. He rode my "horrible" 900t and liked it a lot and thought it was very responsive. Like I said when he tried my "horrible" sled he was riding a 270 hp tuned Winder .
When you order your belt blowing, oil burning, rod bearing eating 850 Doo don't forget to turn off the lights here on TY.

Thanks Dan but I stopped paying attention to those mag guys back when I bought my 2008 FX Nytro. All the mags picked it sled of the year and I was excited I bought one for my wife. It turned out to be the biggest pile of dung I ever purchased. If you could believe this was the first sled I tried to talk the guy who bought it from me out of buying it. I actually felt bad taking his money. I told him how awful it rode and handled and he wouldn't be happy with it but he still handed over the money. This is for you Joe....lol

I just like to bust Joe's balls....but in reality there is a whole thread of kool-aid(doo-aid) iTC drinkers who all love bashing the Winder and Cat 998s. Then come over here and post. This is something known as "little man's syndrome". Basically when they have to constantly knock the big dog as they will never feel big power like this. And if they somehow did, they would likely have even MORE issues then over here. Easy to be reliable at 160-200hp. lol

Actually, if I remember correctly the Lester relics offered up a whole bunch of negative publicity on the 08 Nytro front end - and rightly so. It was bad. I often don't agree with them because it seems they favor those who spend the most advertising dollars with them. Thanks Dan but I stopped paying attention to those mag guys back when I bought my 2008 FX Nytro. However, they were right then and they are right now, about the throttle(although they blame the itc, when they should also be blaming the large intake tract).
In addition, they aren't exactly saying anything too good about the Doo front end.

Fair review. However, I have no idea why he always feels the need to go on about windshields. He does this all the time on any sled with low windshield.
This is purely rider preference and these days most windshields can be switched out in minutes.

I know for me, im often unzipping my coat in our tight system on many days trying to cool off, always trying to open my zipper/vents on coat ect...so Im usually a fairly low window. Now if I was in Qc riding the big trails, that's when I would swap out to a medium or so. Really has nothing to do with the sled itself though.

The funniest part of Joe's SW bashing is that he owned one for two seasons and he posted mostly positive things in regards to the sled while he owned it. Once he ordered the 900T, he decided the SW was a POS.
Joe, has your nephew had any trouble with your old SW?
What was the last sled you had that had to be towed home?

I don't know why you guys keep saying I bash the Sidewinder. I have said it over and over I really liked my Winder and my opinion hasn't changed one bit. I thought it rode and handled awesome and even though I left it stock I thought the power was great.
I had zero issues with it and if it wasn't for the guys on this forum I would probably still own it.
Guys like Rockerdan and Knapp scared the hell out of me. Along with all the other guys who kept posting all the issues and problems that needed to be addressed.
The last sled that had to be towed was my wife's 1200 Doo not my Winder. I never had any issues with my Winder.
Every day there were new posts about another Winder issue. I got rid of mine because I became paranoid reading TY.
I haven't bashed the Sidewinder as a matter of fact when I'm asked about it I tell the truth and the truth is I loved it while I had it.

Really, Dan and I scared the hell outta you by offering fixes for some of the winders shortfalls?
That’s how your gonna play it? Unreal.
Your on DooTalk bashing the winder after you got rid of it, but when you owned it you were praising it up one side and down the other. Don’t make me go get some of your quotes over there. Come on, really.
We all know none of them are perfect and both brands need something the other offers. Nothing new there, but you can quit digging yourself a hole now and just stop with the BS.
