2022 Preorder build dates/delivery dates

What's in a shock that's so hard to get? Metal, rubber seals, gas/oil?

It isn't fishy at all. The problem is that the OEMs can't get parts to finish sleds. My understanding is that the biggest shortage now is shocks.

It isn't fishy at all. The problem is that the OEMs can't get parts to finish sleds. My understanding is that the biggest shortage now is shocks. I was talking to the owner of another OEMs dealership the other day and they mentioned that one of the larger manufacturers has been told that only 25% of their 2023 production preorder can be guaranteed. This problem isn't going away for any of the manufacturers. IF you have a Winder L-TX LE ordered I will gladly give you $500, wait however long, and buy the sled when it shows up. A lot better than ordering a 2023 and being at the end of a long line.
What is fishy is that they said that sleds would be delivered in the order they were purchased , but it appears that cannot be true !

Yes, I believe that Yamaha fills the orders in the order they were received. I have heard from multiple places that dealers don't all process orders the same way. Some put orders in as soon as they have the deposit, some put orders in at the end of the day, and some might put the orders in at the end of the week. I would think that Yamaha processes the orders as they receive them. Then there are the trolls who say they put an order in as soon as the dealer let them and the truth is they never ordered a thing and just want to stir the pot.
Speaking for myself
I got a confirmation e mail from Yamaha
at 301 PM March 10

And orders had to be made by customer directly to Yammy

My order would have been on March 9 but I tried to order the old way and gave my deposit directly to dealership but it was not accepted and had to directly contact Yammy providing them with my e mail

Did you check all your mailbox's? Mine was not in the main box.
Honestly, no I have not checked my "junk" mailbox for word from Yamaha. I received the initial email from Yamaha in my regular inbox, and I have not made any changes to my email settings, so I really don't have any reason to believe that further emails from Yamaha would be diverted to my junk mail. Frankly, because of the settings I have on my account, almost nothing goes into my junk mail folder.

I really don't enjoy saying anything negative about Yamaha; I have spent so much time praising them over the years. I have bought six different boats in the last 17 years, all with Yamaha 4-stroke engines, between 60 and 250 hp each. I have a Yamaha generator, and a Yamaha side by side. I have also bought 10 Yamaha 4-stroke snowmobiles in the past 12 years. I have been a "true believer" in big blue, but their response to the Spring Power Surge fiasco has weakened my faith in the people behind the product.

It hurts me to talk negatively about Yamaha , as my experience as a supplier to them ,in the past , was a very straight forward, friendly, and respectful relationship . The people were great that I dealt with , from both Canada and the U.S. .
The production difficulties that are causing our angst , must be horrific !
It quite often is not what you say , it's when and how you say it , that usually matters the most .
They have dropped the ball , for sure .
Imagine if you were not on TY , how little you would know about Yamaha , and what is going on in the snowmobile industry .
Some of the info on this site is fact , and some are opinions .
Both are pretty legitimate in their own right , and we are fortunate to have some real experts amongst us.
All that being said , if I see something on March 22 that turns my crank , then I will be all over it , AND I will expect to be treated with preference over new purchasers , due to my unfavorable purchasing experience ly .
They still have my $1000 deposits from ly .

Well at least Yamaha is offering something. I’m still waiting on my T-cat w/EPS and Arctic Cat has offered me Zilch, Nada, Nothing.
I might just get a boot in the A$$ and get told don’t let the door hit you in the A$$ on your way out after picking up my sled..
Or…. They could totally surprise me and say they’re offering me another year of warranty for being so amazingly patient on my ‘22 seeing how our winter is overwith here.
I do know it was loaded on a truck last Friday and on its way East.. I was told by my dealer it should be here by the end of the week or sometime early next week at the latest. Looks like I’m going to have to take a road trip far North to ride the new sled if I want to ride it before Spring.
I hope you get your sled and in your case I can only imagine how hard its going to be for Arctic Cat to do much for you as they are faced with any extra money being paid to Ski-Doo and the burden tbey already had out of pocket giving sleds away that were intended to be sold in Canada is my best guess and IMO

Giving sleds away? I think I missed something lol

Arctic Cat / BRP legal case.. Sleds intended to be sold in Canada were not allowed to be sold due too patent infringement for one year.. They were then sold in the United States for lets just say discounted prices and now paying a 2.8 million reverse appeal awarded to Ski-Doo.

Another Country Cat update!

Snowmobile Production Update

Youth Sleds - 120 and 200 units have completed production. There are very limited youth snowmobiles left to reach the dealer network.

Thundercat - Thundercat sleds have completed production in Thief River Falls and are on their way to dealers.

ZR Models - Arctic Cat has a very limited volume still at the factory awaiting gauges and clutch weights on ZR models. The remaining units are waiting on additional deliveries of components to complete the remaining ZR 6000 and ZR 8000 RR sleds. Approximately 30 units are preparing to ship between the US and Canada.

ZR RR Models - At this time, Arctic Cat is still awaiting additional information regarding shock delivery for the RR models - specifically the QS3R shocks - that have experienced the most significant delays. Approximately 65 sleds have been completed and are being distributed between the US and Canada to customers based on earliest preorder date.

Riot Models - Shipping has begun on completed Riot models. There are very limited numbers still awaiting missing clutch weights, gauges, and clutches from our suppliers.

We will continue to update you as more information becomes available. Arctic Cat and Country Cat appreciate your patience as everyone continues to combat worldwide supply chain issues.

I can confirm the Tcat production. I was notified mine was shipped on 3/8/22. My dealer expects it on Monday 3/14/22. It would also appear that there will be only one model of Tcat in 2023 and the ZR9000 Riot was confirmed. It would appear 2023 model with the 998 will be limited.

Looks like cat has now delayed 2023 pre orders until late April due to 2022's not being delivered yet.
