You own a skidoo 900R... Go to dootalk and tell them you beat a sidewinder.. It will make you all feel better...

Plus.... Its your stupid comments like this that got you booted from Dootalk...Well then that has me convinced. What I experienced cannot be true because you and that video just proved me wrong. Even though I bought and have owned both sleds your video proves me wrong.

I don’t think some people posting here are very good at evaluating sleds . Throttle response, seat of the pants feel , heavy steering , etc . I ride almost every weekend… the Arctic cat chassis with the Yamaha motor ( with minor ski pressure adjustments ) is by far the best sled trail or lake riding. Period.

Your signature reads 2017 xtx le.Not at all. The problem is most guys here have modified Winders. Mine was and still is stock. My observation was based on two stock sleds.
Still have the 1.75 track on it?
Also yamaha has changed the stock clutching since then.
I can see where your sidewinder would be slower due to heavier track and clutching set up stock.

What shocks do you have on yours? The reason I ask is that is the one thing I saw as a big difference. Mine was an STX model with standard gas shocks, my friend had the LTX SE with the QS3 shocks. His was hands down better in the rough stuff. But yes the seating position and zero ski lift in the twisty stuff makes for a very nice handling machine. Skis also a big difference, I had Curves at first and didn’t care for them, swapped to a SLP Mohawk, way better.I don’t think some people posting here are very good at evaluating sleds . I swapped out the stock track for a 1.25 ice attack when the sled was brand new. I really liked that track and wish they made it available over the ice ripper. The clutching is stock other than the orange black Dalton secondary spring.Your signature reads 2017 xtx le.

Let’s see how they are
its a Yamaha site!!!! What do think is going to happen? If someone posted how great a Yamaha was and the most reliable gas n go machine made. What happens IF that is done on Doo Talk.Like I posted I don’t have a Mach. I have a Renegade X with basically a Mach engine. I have nothing to prove with my post, I’m just telling my experience before anymore the 900r is a turd posts by those who have no experience with them. It seems like there are many insecure people on these forums that don’t want to hear anything other than what they want to hear.

I just posted what happened in a short run up to 100 mph. I'm sure the Winder will top end the 900r but we didn't have the opportunity to run it that long. They are extremely close up to 100 and that's all I know from my experience.
I don't know why all the personal attacks. Even posts about my car. Then the personal attacks about Rockerdan. What did Dan ever do to deserve that? All he ever did was try to help everyone on these forums with their sleds.
I will stick to what I said about my Winder experience. At the time it was one of the best riding handling sleds I ever owned along with being the fastest. I have no regrets owning that sled.

How far off are both speedos at say 100 mph when compared to GPS!I just posted what happened in a short run up to 100 mph. I'm sure the Winder will top end the 900r but we didn't have the opportunity to run it that long. They are extremely close up to 100 and that's all I know from my experience.

Sounds like you have a good running 900r.
I ask because I find that my 17 LTX-LE is almost spot on at 100. Kind of funny but I do not say anything anymore to those I ride with when they say how fast they’ve gone, while following me and I am trying to keep it slow for them!
Just an incredible difference in speedo accuracy out there, but it does make one happy when he or she thinks they’ve been cranking while I just smile and know the diff!

Let's move on. There will always be exceptions, but there are plenty of data points now that show what anyone can expect when running the Mach. (Doo or Yamaha guys reporting) There are also many posts on DT if you want to know why Rockerdan lost a lot of his respect on this forum.
@DMCTurbo I know the SRX is stock, but also know it probably runs a lot better than a guy can expect off the showroom floor as you guys have a lake to test on and make improvements. Is that Mach also dialed in as good as it can be?

I would think the speedo is out around 10%. I think the Winder speedo is much more accurate. Where we ride we have some nice logging roads and fields. Not much in lakes where we can run them for long distances where you can top them out. When we hit 100 mph you pretty much have to let off and there is plenty of track spin I'm sure. How far off are both speedos at say 100 mph when compared to GPS!

I keep reading guys only revving out to 7400-7500 rpm's on their 900r's. Mine has been revving out to 7800-8000 rpm since new. It does seem like the better ones are hitting higher rpm's. If you look at the dyno results most of these 4 strokes run great over a much wider rpm range so maybe it doesn't matter. I don't really care about top speed, the only reason I even raced the old Winder was because I wanted to know how they compare being I have owned them both. For trail riding both have more power and speed anyone really needs.

I just ran across this Mach Z for sale on the web. I'm not sure if the guy selling is a typical Mach Z buyer but I got a chuckle out of his posting....
Should I buy a tractor, backhoe, or a Mach Z?

Go look at DooTalk jon. There are many Yamaha trolls there bashing the Mach. Most of them have few posts and have joined DT in the past few months. All they do is bash and get the Doo boys fired up. The mods there pretty much do nothing. Some of the Doo bashers are here and enjoy getting the boys over there fired up. There is no love between me and many of those on DT. They got all excited about the new Mach and hyped the hell out of it. I knew exactly what I was getting and it has met all my expectations. I come here because I'm still involved with my old Winder.Let’s see how they are
