300 tune and fuel quality. How sensitive is the 300 to octane? Also throttle response compared to the stock muffler tunes

I run the 300 on 93 octane fuel on the trail all the time. Even 91 and 92 octane when that's all I can get. I don't hold it for miles however either.
The stock muffler tunes are sooooo nice and quiet however.

I will be going with this tune package also , as soon as I have a few miles on the stock one, (2021), I am leaning toward the package offered by Black Diamond Extreme, they say their perf muffler/ tune package is close to stock sound level
As Mike said, you can run the 300hp tune on 91, within reason. It's fine on the trail, just wouldn't recommend it on the lakes. As far as comparing the stock exhaust tune to the trail muffler goes, I can't say because I've had the trail muffler for 3 seasons and never had the stock muffler tunes installed.300 tune and fuel quality. I am wondering the same as well.. Whats the SM 240 like compared to a 240 with a trail muffler tune. Is it worth to add the trail muffler, unless you are going to 270/300? I tried to call Hurricane twice, but I cant get a hold of him..

Definitely a noticeable difference in throttle response with the trail muffler vs sm. The 300 is a freaken riot on the trails!! Add a header and it's pulls even harder. Love the sound of my trail muffler when I squeeze the trigger and she roars it sounds like a hopped up muscle car..lol
Like others mentioned I've ran 91 on the 300 tune on some trails (in the tight and twistys) but I wouldn't push it on our big wide open northern trails! Fuel quality means everything also..imo
I had bad luck with 93 octane locally getting knock but when I pick up 93 in town it's all good

You would think it would be good as its the only gas station in town... lol...Definitely a noticeable difference in throttle response with the trail muffler vs sm. Haha! The shell in massey only has 91. The upi in espanola has 93 but I don't think they sell much that's probably why it's crap. If I pick 93 in Sudbury no issues with quality. You would think it would be good as its the only gas station in town... lol...

I would be going with hurricane Or turbo dynamics. They have multiple years flashing packages, with very little problemsI will be going with this tune package also , as soon as I have a few miles on the stock one, (2021), I am leaning toward the package offered by Black Diamond Extreme, they say their perf muffler/ tune package is close to stock sound level

290 -300 muffler package , will go about 4- 5 seconds pinned on 91-92 before it blinks.
You will find the 270 hp is more than enough, for most trails . You will come out of a corner, pin it for 2-3 seconds, then you back it off to half throttle to cruise at 80-85 mph .
