-30c sled started no problem. Warmed it up from -24c to 50c. Shut it down while my doo buddies boosted theirs. Went to start it again and I had no power to my dash due to condensation freezing in my main relay. Long story short I had to remove the relays and warm them up. They are located in the fuse compartment. Just an FYI

Starting to freek me out as well..... looking at cats, never thought I would do that ever!

Will make a nice upgrade. No worse feeling than, DEAD KEY SYNDROM. AKA,nothing happens when you turn the key.

this should be a recall IMO... we shouldnt have to pay to fix a very well known issue on previous sleds. just my opinion though

I had exact same symptoms first year of my Viper which is identical wiring to Winder at kill switch. Would randomly have nothing except the starter which always turned over. Take throttleblock apart, wiggle wires, put back together and was fine for weeks even months between issues. Finally did it right at dealership one day when I was there on sled and they just got me a whole new Throttleblock. Problem solved for good. All testing showed no issue. Cleaning and tightening the little fragile connections in there was not successful. Glad that one was solved. Had to take it apart one night lost in middle of nowhere. Fun times!

Buy a second (and third ) relay and keep it in your pocket. Don't start your sled and warm it up, then shut it down after 5 mins. It's the condensation from pulling it off the trailer and killing it, or warming it up so you can prove to your 2 stroke riding friends that it still starts ;) Problem solved.

But I completely agree it's unacceptable. Until the red relay is available, I'd have a couple relays nice and warm every morning anyways.

"hey guys, sorry, i gotta go grab my relays to bring in for the night! hold my beer!" lol!! jeeze yamaha

No need to buy relays or do to much worrying. Been dealing with this since 06 with Apex's.

Just carry a hot hands pack that ready. hold on relays for a few seconds and click. Your good to go.
Have done this many times and never had a issue with stating since.
