hmmm, measure the short bushing between the third wheel and the outside wheel. cut that amount from the long bushing - measure the width of your bearing in your wheel, and cut the amount off of the remainder. debur the ends with a file or sand paper. you can use a regular reel wheel as the 4th wheel. so you should end up with 2 bushing the same size, a long piece and a short piece. discard the shortest piece. i recommend using a caliper to measure with, so you don't have too much tolerance in your measurements.

easy to do, just make it the same on both sides. Can do it with skid on or off, but much easier if its off. You don't have to buy anything except a wheel, and a couple washers. its all there, just gotta do some cutting.

Ok, hope I dont screw it up. I wonder is hacksaw or zip saw the ideal cutting tool? Do I have to subtract the thinckness of the the washers mentioned above? I'm over thinking this, aint I>?>?
I used a tube cutter to score the spacer first. This gave me a good staight line follow with the hacksaw. Then I used my bench grinder to clean up the edges. Subtract the washer widths and bearing width of the wheel when you do this cut.
I've never used any extra washers.Put spacers next to wheels.

Not sure, but when you are referring to using the "regular rear wheel" as in the ones located on the very outside of the rear axle. I have found that those wheels won't work as a center idler when using the spacer dimensions shown in the tech section, because the bearing is offset from the center of the wheel compared to the stock center idler wheel, and therefore would not line up between the cogs on the track if you installed it. The bearing width is slightly different as well. I thought of doing this on my sled when I installed the 4th wheel, but after doing some measuring, I went and bought a new center idler wheel to install. FWIW

My dealer made mine using a small lathe. With the right equipment it is pretty easy.

If yours is the Mono skid, make sure you use the measurements below the diagram!
I found out the hardway after I had already made my cuts

I used a plumbing pipe cutter to cut the sleeves. Not the fourth wheel, I just did one more cut. Really easy to do, Just don't overthink it.

When I cut the tube, I used a hack saw and cut it slightly longer then the actual measurement. then I used a bench grinder to take to the exact size. Just take your time.

My tube cutter was a bit too small so I used my bandsaw and it worked great. Thanks for help as it was easy and I didn't remove skid either.
