4th wheel kits

damn it I hate removing the skid! After I talked to you and did some more reading I think that will be my next mod to ensure reliability

Well maybe when I bring mine by we can install that in yours. Shouldn't take to long.

that be cool. never installed one before. Be nice to have a point of reference. Time to build some big jumps!

I decided to just run the Tri-Hub and let Yamaha pay for it when it fails. Is unfathomable that Yamaha and AC are running it this year. Maybe they put some super bearings in them or something. Will find out. I will save my $ for a race or RR skid in meantime.

Does the track need to come off for install on these?

No but you do need to spread rails. I will remove the skid but can be done in sled.

Here is my 4th wheel kit from D&D on my viper. Installation took 5 mins. Never heard anything bad about the kit so should he a good upgrade. Helps a lot with traction.

That just added the two out side wheels right

It certainly a quick and easy solution to what would more than likely be a problem if it's left with just the 2 wheels. Longevity..I don't know if I would go as far as to say it'll last for 10k miles but then again I don't think anything will. The price was reasonable and it seems to be a solid setup.

Barry, Are you still planning to get your sled on the dyno, maybe stock and with the quiet can??? I assume it's busy up there with the shootout next week.

Last update from dale last night is that he wanted to finish up the clutching this morning and then get the sled on the dyno this afternoon. I know they are mainly looking to get a stock hp number but also he mentioned that he may get the exhaust on to show at the old forge shoutout. Not sure on any of that yet but I'm thinking they will have dyno numbers today on it.

Just a note for those shopping wheels. I had thought that the RTX and LTX had the same wheels, the XTX the larger wheels. Learned today that the RTX has the smaller wheels, like 7 1/8, both the LTX and XTX have the larger wheels.

That is correct on the bigger wheels. Anyone that wants to cross the wheels from the procross chassis use the f series wheels for the rtx and xf wheels for the ltx. Mine kit was actually on an xf9000 display model. Everything boots right up. Atleast for the kit I got from D&D. Not for sure how others are set up
