99 Kodiak

Hey Fellow TY’ers never thought the day would come but it’s here. Having a shifting issue with ole faithful. Bike is a 99 Kodiak 400 with 5 speed with 1800km’s on it. Bike goes in reverse easy and can be hard to shift out. Also the neutral light will only light when depressed. I tried a quick adjustment on the shifter linkage and changing oil etc and tried to use the increase and decrease option on the gear box to adjust the clutch’s and it did help for sure for shifting but the neutral light not working is a issue for me. And yes it does go into neutral. Any help appreciated.

check under the bike on left side of motor. if memory serves that is where the light switch for the neutral light is.

some times they loosen up and fall off. had that happen to my uncles 92 big bear.
