on the sled it is plugged direct to the blue wire on the main harness (high beam positive) and grounded. This year i may install a switch to put it off when riding in big snow dust ! It still gona be activated by the left thumb

So all you bought was the Light kit for $18.00 and found a live wire to add power? So every time your sled is started, and stock lightsa come on,so does this pair of Led lights too? Some of the reviews said the plastic which the screws thread into,to tighten the bracket down to,are cheap, and have stripped out before starting> have you had any problems with yours? And could you send me a close up pic of where and how you installed yours? Thanks Pete

He wired the positive wire to the blue wire in the harness it only has power when you turn on the high beams this is how I wired in my led projectors on my apex. it worked well for me but like he says it would be nice sometimes to not have them on if I was to do it again I would wire in a switch too but still have them wired to the high beams. as far as quality you are getting a light that could retail for 80 bucks or more if it was a high quality piece it is china built so be care when installing it so you don't strip the holes and use locktite on the mounting bolts or they will vibrate loose.

Everyone should go to the link posted above and watch the Video on the product. It's awesome ! They smash, beat stab, and Belt Sander the crap out of these lights and they still work !
It's good entertainment for a couple of min's LOL !

Can someone go into more detail where you find the wire to the Hi beams and how you spliced them in ? Do we have to take the handle bar switch apart or is there a better place to tie in ? What type of connectors you might of used.

    Thanks

IDK for sure but it has room for a heated seat so if you don't have that you have lots of room.
    Edit...
I see you have the ltx-le same as I just got it comes with heated seat sorry..

I was able to tie in under the dash in the wire harness that comes down the bars on my apex. to splice in I cut the wire stripped it back on both sides twisted one side at a time with the led wire. Slid a heat shrink tube on and twisted the two ends together soldered the wires and slid heat shrink over and shrunk it on. Great connection and weather proof done.
