I guess you could consider it a front or mid mount depending on what you call which. The kit includes a new 8.5 gallon trail tank that is molded for clearance around the turbo.
hmmm, sounds VERY good

As far as reliability, the kits are all real good turboed or supered. It's mostly rider that determines reliability. Case in point the supercharged Nytro engine I'm fixing at present for someone. detoed the piston , block and head because of boost levels and octane. If you had to run low octane gas your in trouble cause your ALWAYS boosting.yamiboost said:By what you said here "reliability is the key (reliable power) and fit and finish" i would say go sc.
I like the turbo cause if you run into a situation where you need to run regular you have the capability to stay off the boost or stay real low till you can get good gas. The super you can't . Obviously the extra weight up front with the front mount and super is a downfall also.

Would it be correct in saying that a turbo is easier on the motor(reliable) than a SC since the SC is driven off the crank.

That is an awesome deal, new gas tank, clutching, gauges and the turbo kit for 4500 to 4800.

I would try the supercharger/turbo section to get some serious backup for such an investment. Snowest is also a good source sinc eso many mountain riders run big power. FYI. I also found some great deals on snow west. Lots of guys flipping performance, and suspension parts like crazy. IMO

Hey mtdream, heard lots good on NW Turbos. How's it running? Lots of miles on now. Is it good for 10 lbs of boost?
Does the kit come complete?

The sea level setup you want to run 7-8 lbs of boost on premium pump gas maximum. This also requires an additional fuel pump and fuel regulator which adds some cost to the overall kit. We are hoping to have several options for customers of 5 lbs of boost 185 hp into a stock muffler and in that $4500 area. Then 7-8 lbs of boost 200+ hp into an aftermarket muffler and in that $5000 area. Watch the turbo section for an announcement from Ulmer Racing soon!

Looking forward to the news. Reading the Turbo/ SC section for days now. Lots of good info. May take another few. I'm looking for something 2+ with reliability my main concern.

Just heard that nwturboworks@yahoo.com is no longer making the nytro turbo kit. Another company(Hmmm!) will be making a similar kit and will be using his cast manifold.
I will be staying tuned to the turbo section.
