Hey guys, is anyone using this gauge??
Seems awesome to me and would be a perfect application for those wicking up the boost in their sleds. On top of having boost & AFR all in one gauge, it data logs and may most importantly, the failsafe function can do any number of things to save your motor if AFR gets too lean.
Watch the video I attached. It shows the full function of the gauge.

They are about as good as it gets for a stand alone afr/boost gauge. But with the ability to monitor, log, and read boost and afr right on the sled via phone/ipad etc and the GAP flasher that is used by vendors I think there time has passed on the sidewinder. BUT for instance a viper/apex aftermarket turbo setup..they are ideal.

I hear ya bud!! Have you used one of these gauges? Wondering what you could tag into to cut power if you get to lean.

I realize that there are better options if you wish to pay for them front the tuners. But hoping for anyone who has used/using this gauge and it’s potentials to chime in!
Thanks!

I agree the Flasher tool being sold by vendors are far superior then a single gauge. The vitals your able to monitor and the potential of this flasher keep get better all the time. If your able to get off the wallet and adapt to the new technology, it could be a great edition to your Sidewinder.

The better option is flashing the ecu these days. The main reason why I switched to the sidewinder is because I was getting tired of all the added electronics to my Turbo Nytro. So much nicer just to plug in the Gap flasher and let it rip.

How do you track your vitals with a gap flasher?

With the Data Logger option.

You can see that live?
But have to have iPad or iPhone, yes?

My understanding is yes on your phone or Ipad. The AEM you still have to have an interface to be able to see live data.

To be honest, even if youre running a viper with an aftermarket turbo kit, you most likely are using a PCV, so you can use the pod300 as your boost and a/f gauge. I liked the pod 300 much better than running separate gauges. Cleaner look and the ability to data log too. Plus the sled looks like more of a sleeper without the gauges there.

I had a pod300 on my boosted apex. Loved it!! Wish I could have it on my winder. So easy to use and data logged.
Unfortunately the tune I run doesn’t offer any of that fancy technology you guys are speaking of, nor do I want an iPad mounted on my sled!! So I guess I’ll grab on of these gauges!
