well most of you have seen my other posts about my sled, so I'm looking for a good controller that displays the level of boost.. the aem seems to be about the best for the money i can find.. or would it be better with a mech. boost gauge and a manual adjuster?

Thanks

was going to get one for my car, but never got around to it, as far as i can tell its a great gauge, if i didnt have an FJO boost gauge on my sled then id probably be putting the aem truboost on cuz i need a new boost controller anyways

I ordered one yesterday too.. Any tricks for installing/setup for a 2554 turbo or can I set it up exactly as listed in the manual. Sounds like a person needs to set the actuator just right so it doesn't spike...?? There is a setting for the "crack" sring pressure that sounds like it may have to be adjusted to get everthing to work just right. I believe it says in the book to start out at 5, any insight on this?
Also, not exacly sure how the "scramble" works.. I understand that you can hook a switch that will ground the wire causeing it to go into "scramble" settings for 0-25.5 seconds. So, does that raise the boost or lower the boost for whatever time you set?

if you send an email to aem, im sure they can help you set it up, otherwise i dont know of anyone myself that has had one before, unless someone else on here does

I wounder how moisture will effect the dash mounted gauge-controler?
I have found steam and moisture from a front mount pretty much ruined an inovative a/f gauge.

I have an AEM A/F guage & it works fine. I admit it's not a mountain sled & I very seldom if ever have snow over the hood.
