I'm looking for a aftermarket heat element for my seat on my apex. I also would like if it had two elements one for driver and one for my seat jack. I'd also like a disconnect on the seat jack for single up ridding. Dose anyone have a starting point or currently have a setup that they used and liked? Open to all ideas and thoughts. Thanks in advance

You could get a 2 piece automotive kit.

You want waterproof pads, like the boyo VTH100. Use the lower seat pad for you, the upper seat pad for the SeatJack. Replace the pad connectors, hardwire your seat, and use 4 wire trailer connectors for the back seat. Be done with it for under $50

I say like, as in a product to look upon and then move on from. You should be able to find a pair of carbon fiber elements that are watertight for the 50-60 range that are quality and reliable. Working from a hospital room makes locating products much more difficult.

I used the symtec heat demon brand of seat heater and control for my apex.
If you search my name you should be able to find a link to my install.
The controller is great. It has like 5 settings going from low to high. My issue was the heat element itself.
It only held up for a season then burnt out. I liked it while it worked but was not interested in replacing the element every season. Removing the seat cover is a pain in the azz.
I left the element glued to my seat and removed the controller and installed it on my atv to control the hand grip heaters.
I think if i was going to do this again i would pickup the seat heater kit arcticcat is using on the viper line and try that.
It cost a lot more but i hav not heard anyone complaining about failures on those

Personally i think the foam on the apex seat was too soft and allowed the heater to constantly bend too much.
I notice the foam on the viper seat is much firmer so that might be why they are holding up better.
Really i have no idea just guessing why mine failed so fast

That is what is happening because the same thing happened to mine.
If you installed a Symtec/Heat Demon seat heater and yours isn't working now call them at 888-571-9193 or 763-571-9193 and ask for Anthony or Tom. They have a new heating element available and they will make it right by you.
There were several people on this board that I suggested the Symtec system to them. I apologize to you guyz and galz and I wish I could be there and help with the seat. Like on many things the first time is a beeyotch but after that it's much easier!
On my 14 Vector LTX I'm actually having the seat redone by a local company anyway. I'm having them add 3" of foam to make it higher and the foam will not be as spongy...about 50% firmer.
