Aftermarket Nytro/Phazer outer tie rod?

Anybody know if there is any aftermarket outer tie rod for these sleds? Looked at Kimpex, nada.

I have been looking into this for the last hour or so and at least found this...

Other than that, so far nothing. I have been contemplating my options with this issue for the Phazer. When the summer arrives I am going to do some hunting for a better alternative. I have read about some tie rod ends from a Yammy ATV as a replacement but I want to find something else a little more accessible. A friend of mine works at Napa, I have plans to research some tie rod ends from the auto industry then go visit her and see if they will be a suitable alternative.

This was on my mind too and might be a great and very cheap alternative, Princess Auto sells tie rod ends in the 10mm size. I've seen them dozens of times in stock here.

A few years ago, there had been a great search for an alternative and unfortunately, those heim (or rose) joints will not work due to the extreme droop of the Phazer and Nytro front suspension.

They are still solid after all these years, including @cannondale27 's YFZ inners. The last piece of this puzzle is the outer tie rods which, unfortunately, are pricier than some name brand truck ball joints. Crazy.

However, those same outers are also used in the delta box chassis. Since my RS Venture GT is new to me, I haven't investigated this steering system yet but I have a feeling it won't have as much suspension droop.

We had also known about those lower ball joints for some time now. There is also an aftermarket upper available. What I don't understand is because those outers are used in so many sleds, why the aftermarket hasn't picked up on this yet?

Funny thing, I just found a bunch of the Yammy outers I bought years ago but forgot about so I don't need them anymore. However, I still want to find an alternative.

Agreed, I hope to get into the front end of mine while still working where I am. Change is coming on that front but for the now, if I am still there I plan to do some machining work where I can and see how I can modify the steering setup to be more reliable. I find it hard to believe the current way is the best way. I will find something, it's just a matter of time. The thing I have found with most small engine manufacturers is that they take a lot from the auto industry simply because they don't spend the money to produce it themselves, they just need to order the items. When I get the warm weather back and start pulling apart my front end I will start a thread on it.

I got my ball joints for my mountain tech arms from speedwaymotors.com for $15-$18.
A good search on their site with known sizes might be worth while.

Yeah I was looking at that site but nothing turned up. I'm thinking more in line with something like SKF or NTN as they sell a lot more than just bearings. Timken or Koyo too might have something, it can't be a specifically Yamaha made part, and companies like Koyo which is a Japanese bearing manufacturer should have what we need. I'm betting Yamaha outsources these parts to a country local resource like Koyo.

More than likely, just like GM gets its parts from ACDelco, and they get them from wherever. They don't make any parts anymore, they're just a relabeler.
