2014 SR Viper
What recommendations are out there for a good set of aftermarket skis, mainly trial use and some lake running. I have a mainly stock 2014 SR Viper LTX Deluxe (no Fox floats) and the factory skis (not the dual tuner ski) cause too much darting and hard to steer at times. After putting on 150-200 miles/day it gets exhausting. Also is there any recommendations to the suspension to help out here too??? Thanks

A lot of your issue could be suspension set up. I have a 15 LTX SE and I ran my floats at 75psi...I put 6" carbides on the outside and the stock 2" on the inside. I left the rear suspension and strap at the factory settings. My sled turned pretty darn good, but would push a little in loose snow. If you learn to use the 4 strokes engine breaking to set you up for the corners you will see just how good a stock viper can turn. That being said and the fact I can't leave anything alone or stock I've installed a set of C&A Razors skis with 6" carbides for this coming winter. I'm hoping for even better cornering!!!

I am still running stock skis but I have cat staggered carbides and have absolutely no darting. Yes I have some pushing in deep snow but use engine brake in the corners and really helps with turning. I adjusted my front spring and limiter strap and right air pressure in front shocks really help with ski pressure.
