Hi All,
Lots of great knowledge and smart people here. Would be nice to have some complete packages consisting of clutching improvement/fixes (spring issue-rollers-noise etc), ECU flash and exhaust. 1, 2 or 3 offerings or stages around this depending on how aggressive people wanted to go. If this is already out there I apologize but would like to see some complete offerings for a knucklehead like me.
Thanks

Hurricane, D&D and TD all have packages at several power levels. Getting better all the time. I think you are pretty safe to 250 hp now and ridiculously fast as well.

Normally not a fan of piggybacks, but I have to admit the allure of switching power on the fly always calls to me.Excell gives you on the fly adjustable power offerings in one kit
Example: I would absolutely love Daves killer new 280 flash, which has a serious amount of boost coming on LOW RPMS for big trail, corner to corner blasting....just will be sick and why most of us buy a turbo, for that explosive bottom/ski lifting corner to corner power. The previous tunes out there do not do much at ALL on bottom end, still a pooch.
What remains to be seen is, will the fuel economy go down the tubes running 15psi around 6000rpms? My gut tells me YES, MPG will go down the shitter.
With the cats we had a dial switch, 4 stage TUNE. Could turn the dial on the fly for big power or better fuel economy, and for trail riders there is nothing better then getting close to MPG as your fellow etecs, but then dialing a switch and putting the hurtn on any competition. FF to the SW, and for one reason or another....it seems this ECU from Yam may not be capable of holding more then one map? I have no idea if that is the case or not, but IMO if the tuners out there want to draw trail riders/buyers in, they should have some sort of way to have a great economy trail tune AND a big power tune in one "switch on the fly" setup....Sure you can buy a BT iPhone setup to load maps, but still can only use one map at a time and must stop to load the map. So that means you are slow when running ECO type map, and fast on other map....but cant switch it up on the fly for that lake or fast trail section....I guess I was spoiled with my 4 stage on my cat.
So this brings me back to the excell piggyback....i know SJ went that route but not sure he had alot of miles to endorse it fully. Im open to anything that gives us switch on the fly ability.

I want both Crazy power and MPG. Whats wrong with that?Normally not a fan of piggybacks, but I have to admit the allure of switching power on the fly always calls to me.

Dan, I ran big boost down low and thru the mids on my 1200 Doo and mileage did not suffer for trail use. Its all in how far and how long you hold down the loud flipper down. With all the boost in the mids you are able to stay out of the throttle a bunch more, thereby limiting the power and fuel being consumed. It's all relative to your right thumb really.
What I don't know however is on the Yamaha, the turbo is being spooled any differently with the blowoff valve and wastegate being controlled electronically, and will that consume more fuel somehow? I doubt it will be much different than the boost/vacuum controlled system I had on the Doo, but do I not know for certain until I can do more testing with tunes in hand and snow on the ground with the Yamaha system. Theoretically, there should be no difference, but the ECU is now in control on the Yamaha so...
I'm not scared to run Hurricanes full on race tune in the Winder all the time, but it remains to be seen how sore your arms may get with arm pump and such towards the end of a long day. I know they can get pretty sore from hanging on in those high boost levels on the trail over time! Who knows, maybe the race tune will be too much, but at that point its nothing to take the phone out and just switch down to a lower level tune. Nothing to it!

SJ.....Does the dial a boost show how much PSI? Or is it just up/down? So without a boost gauge we dont know how much boost the excell system makes? I dont think it makes the same total boost other tunes do does it? Im talking over 16psi ect.
Also, where does it add the boost? Meaning at what rpms does it hit?
The biggest LET DOWN for me with these sleds is they are slower down low on trail then my NA1200, no snap or power until you get them moving....so there is zero transfer and i can NEVER get skis to come up rolling off our elevation changes which is why the 1200NA is such a blast to ride...Sure it makes crazy power when running the bigger speed trails but corner to corner slow trails its so poochy.
so if you dial up this piggyback boost controller, does it hit hard down low too?
Man Im gonna have a ton of decisions to make next fall on which system to go with!

Their videos shows some pretty good acceleration. Takes out SC Viper and a SC Apex I believe.SJ.....Does the dial a boost show how much PSI? Or is it just up/down? I can comment on fuel economy with the TD powertrail flash after 1500 Kms. Rode with 2 800 etecs and an 850.
Riding 70-80 km/h on average with occasional wide open bursts I was always 2-4 litres more than the 800s and 7-9 litres more than the 850.
