Centre to centre is approx. 2 1/4". I/S diam. of pipe is 1 5/8. O/S diam is 1 3/4.

My o.d and i.d match, C-C looks pretty good too. Your call, if you want a new Y pipe I'll send it to you. You'll still have to cut the overall length to size and weld the flange on, but this should be a whole lot easier than fixing the problem you have now.

Sounds like a project in the making. I know some stainless equipment manufactures that should be able to find me a flex joint. I will keep everyone posted. laker cr, pm me and let me know what you need.

All I need is your address. If the part won't work, send it back. If it does work (and I think it will) make a donation to the site if you like, but I don't need anything for it.

Thank you Sir. A donation on your behalf is in order. Plus we all get to see if this flex joint will help the situation by the end of the season. ;)!

Yeah, I guess I should get my shopping started!

This site is responsible for a significant amount of the business we do, and it continues to be a great source of information for us just like I'm sure it is for everyone else. I don't expect to need the part myself, so if it helps a forum member out, and it helps TY out in the process then it seems like the right thing to do.

PM me your address George, and I'll send it to you tomorrow.

jim you are just like me ,a last minute shopper.talk to you tommorrow .thanks

Heat taping on the the pipe is destructive . I'd recommend ceramic coating your next one.

Thats one of the reasons I pulled it off. Was goint to get it Jet coated and I was thinking of putting a flex joint on the pipe this year. Last year when I repaired the rear turbo mount bracket the crease on the pipe was hardly noticicable. Then I wrapped it up. Good thing I check out my ride thoroughly every Fall. ;)!

Why would heat tape be destructive?

I've juste heat taped my boondocker pipe from the end ot header to the turbo....

Here is some pics of the rear mount turbo bracket that I reinforced last year.

This year had to change the reinforcement again. You will notice how much the bracket was bent, and the stress crack, from the riding last year. Hopefully the flex joint will give the exaust system enough to prevent this problem with the exaust system.
