Today I rebuilt the carbs with SPI kits. Fires it up and set the idle at 1400. I’m having a problem with it dropping out to 1000. Then runs back up.
I set the screws at 1.5 turns out. Don’t have the tool to sync them though.
Do the jets need to be adjusted when it’s running? I see it’s a pain in the a$$ to get under in there.
Appreciate any suggestions.

First thing I would do is balance the carbs. Then only adjust the idle after the machine is nice and warm up to temp.
