Ya know I've changed out stock mufflers a few times and each time, I wished I had a spring tool, but that spring tool brings back unpleasant memories from the past with 2 strokes and engine rebuilds..why did our 4 strokes need an exhaust spring...leave that for the 2 strokes lol

I used a grinder to put a notch/hook in one of my chainsaw screnches. Makes a great spring tool.

If you don't have the spring tool use the shock absorber wrench with the curved side to hook the spring
