I have owned my 16 apex 129 for a week now. I agree with 99% with others that it is step backwards in ride, just about as bad as a 03 rx1 or maybe a srx.
I played with pressures from 170 to 230. Today I took the rear transfer blocks out, with 200 lbs. The ride is a lot better, not the constant jarring over the smallest lumps, almost normal. wheelies are another story.
It seems to me the rebound dampening is meant to have 250 lbs of air. With that much air , and compressing it as much as I can with my knee on the rear. It raises at reasonable rate as I would expect sled skid to be. When the pressures are dropped the rebound seems too great and returns too slow.
From what I understand how a good quality adjustable shock works. If you stiffen spring preload you would also stiffen the rebound dampening.
I might look into the revalving the shock until hygear or elka has something for the 129 skid.

Boy I agree how bad does it wheelie? My old SRX road better I am at 270 psi going to drop it to 250 psi. I am a big boy my dealer started at 285 psi then dropped it to 270. Last year no snow so only road 450 miles but this year I road 215 so far.
