I wanted to know if the anti stab kit wheels ride on the track? will this reduce hyfax wear as well as protect the track? anyone have them installed I would like to see some pics. I have an 07 apex 136 mono that I just put wahl bros drivers on. Thanks for the help

I put mine on in place of the limiter shaft. It helps reduce hyfax wear at the front area, but it really helps so the front rail cap wont get wore out either. I was wearing out rail caps after 500 miles, now it looks like brand new still.

i have a 2007 attack with wahls on it. Will i need an anti stab kit or can i run it the way it is? does anyone have the same set up that can comment?

Are these anti-stab kits mainly used on older certain model sleds?

I have checked my 08 D-2 chasis rail caps a few times and I don't personally see how they could come into contact with the track?

I've heard of guys having to trim the front of the rails shorter on the monos when going to extros, which may lead to the need for the anti-stab kit also. I am in the process of putting Wahl 9T extros on my Attak and don't have it back together yet to see if there will be any clearance issues between the extros and the rail caps.

Yes the anti-stab wheels contact the track and do slightly help with slide wear upfront. I highly recommend using these kits for off trail riding. They really are not nessecary for strictly trail riding, unless you have the front limiter strap out and everything set for max transfer to wheelie all the time out of every corner. I have witnessed a track stab during a cat walk, it's one of the funniest things an idiot can do. Full on cat walk and instant brakes :drink: ..lmao funny!! I was under the understanding that the mono skid rails needed shortened to run extros? Hmmm, Maybe just install a kit for security. ;)! Cheers, Scott

I just put whal extros on my 07 attak. only run on the stand so far, but does not look to be close for contact at all. Hopefully I am right, because I left on my rail caps, and the snow will fly soon. I guess we will see?

Well this is very good to hear because that's what I'm putting them on!!! lol!!! I think it might be more of a problem with the shortys...I think the rails come closer to the drivers...

I run the 9 tooth extrovert drivers in my 06 attak with the mono skid and have no issues with the rails hitting the drivers. This will be my 3rd season with this set up and it works great.

Ok I guess you don't need the anti stab when using extro drivers I think I might get them if they help hyfax wear and offer protection. The other question is how loose to run the track ?

Too loose and track balloning can cause damage to you track from slapping the tunnel protectors, or worse if your studded. I am running 1.75" of sag from the rail which may be a little excessive. I do have some slight damage or ware from the protectors so this year I might tighten it up slightly. I say any small adjustment over stock recommendations should be fine. Keep going till you hear slap noises. These noises will also occur during sudden hard braking. This is just my experience on my 07 RTX.

Scott32, you said "...unless you have the front limiter strap out and everything set for max transfer to wheelie all the time"
I have an 07 Attak.
I removed my transfer rod and it helped. Can I remove my limiter strap and transfer rod? I have the anit stab kit on? I want to do wheelies :)

Wilstoon, you can max out your tranfer rod but I wouldn't have removed it. Although some guys have removed the rod but it is not advised. You can max out your limiter strap, but, again I would advise not to remove it. Your limitation is the 136" length of your skid, creating a longer lever to lift the heavy front end. That being said, add boost with some nice clutching and gearing and your skis may never touch snow again. LOL cheers, scott
