I know I asked this before but I'm hoping someone else has the same issue and a solution. I keep finding antifreeze drips on my frame under clutches. I can see a drip on my stub shaft housing but cannot see where it's coming from above. I tightened all hose clamps that I could see but still have the drips. It appears a day or so after running sled. Any help would be great

Sometimes the rubber plug on the overflow bottle can work its way loose and when in operation some antifreeze can slop out. It could easily rundown the upper clutch guard and drip onto the engine.
My friends 17 had this happen to it.

Check the hose clamps on the short flex hoses that go through the tunnel. notorious for leaking. my brand new SRX leaked on my garage floor. Known problem since '17.

Check all hoses on thermostat housing. There's like 3-4 of them. Water pump is right behind primary clutch. Are bolts holding it on tight? It's sealed with an o-ring. There's a vent hole (weep hole) on the bottom of the water pump too. It can't be seen without removing primary clutch. Water pump is driven off balancer shaft. There's a seal between balancer cavity and water pump impeller. If it starts to leak either engine oil or coolant, it will come out weep hole.

Check the hose clamps on the oil cooler. Mine was leaking from them. Ya basically like said above... check every single clamp.

I will check all these locations. I have tightened as many hose clamps as I can see and now I'm leaning towards water pump only because I see antifreeze on base of stub shaft. I only have 400 miles on sled so I'm hoping the housing is just loose.i did change out my stub shaft with the hurricane one and I'm hoping I didn't do anything to cause the leak. It only leaks a few drops from time to time so it's puzzling mine the less

Hi,
Sorry to sidetrack a bit, but what’s your impression of the Hurricane stub shaft? Did it eliminate the clutch rattle?
Thanks!

imo the hurricane stub shaft did help quiet the clutch a good amount also dave from hurricane made the shaft to compensate for the offset ( I believe it is between 2 and 3 mm ) . this will eliminate the need to machine any material off the secondary clutch

I found a coolant leak on the 'T' joint just above and to the left of the oil filter on the hose clamps. They were very lose (all three of them). I turned them so I can easily get my 6mm socket on them.

Yup, of the of the first things after getting new sled home from dealer is check ALL clamps - boost tube clamps, coolant clamps, oil hose clamps. Check all vacuum hoses too! Important. Repeat checks at least every year!

I too have a leak and it looks like it might be coming from the bottom of the water pump? Im thinking that pulling the motor to replace the water pump is not the task im up for. Has anyone had luck using the antifreeze leak stop stuff and if so what kind?
