I can see were the solid axel with the ends machined down to fit the slot will be stronger than the just bolt throught the spacer with shoulders.

BUT I bet they both take a good load and as I am not doing snowcross or caines quest cross country type racing I doubt If I would ever break the spacer/shoulder 4th wheel kits. OF ocourse I still have the trihub, but it is carrying less load and I can drive home if it fails.

Has anybody trail riding ever broke any 4th wheel kit enen with the simple wide shoulder spacers? Personall never heard of it.

I have never heard or seen a failure of any of the 4 wheel kits yet.

My buddy has 5200 miles on his bolt on 4th wheel kit and the outside wheels and trihub are all still perfectly fine. I'm sure the solid rear axle is better but at 2-3x the cost is it really worth it?

I've ridden with some cats and have never heard of the tri hub problem until here.
Where can I get the bolt on 4th wheel kit.
Would like to put it on my xtx before I use it....just for added security.
