Anyone cross reference this part # to something else. Yamaha OEM is wanting $12.96 for one bolt plus 95 cents for the washer. What a rip off! Anything else use this bolt. I am just missing the bolt on the shroud cover thats it. Oh then they want $16 UPS to ship it. So I am looking at $30 for a bolt and a washer. Here is the part #

I usually go to my local hardware store and get a stainless steel or chrome bolt/washer/nut for minimal cost. Unless it is noticibly different than the OEM or a quality-strength issue, I may choose to replace the other to match as well. In this case doesn't sound like it?

It's not a bolt, it's a Dzus fastener and they aren't cheap. If you've got a race shop nearby, take one with you and see and if they can match it. IDK, but Yamaha may use a proprietary one.

Good catch snerkman, I just ran up to Ace Hardware with the fastener and they did not have one like it. They did have the black round-head screw with a black washer that could insert into the larger hole but I don't think that would work very well. In this case, I would buy OEM or try one of the above links.
