There not lots of space in there. Maybe need a custom tool. I tried by hand and of course the filter is really tide.

Good info! I tried a strap tool and it wouldn't work, had to remove the SC to get the oil filter off. I will look for one of those tools!

I tried searching for that particular tool here in the states but wasn't able to; only similar ones but with not as many teeth and smallest filter they fit was a 2-1/4" filter. Ended up finding a Gearwrench oil filter wrench on Amazon that went from 2"-5" so will definitely fit the smaller filters like our Yamaha's and the ones used in my Honda's.
