Curious how many people are running his packages on the trail. He has his 220hp engine in the classifieds and i can't even imagine my RX1 with that engine! What a rocket. I do a lot of saddle bagging and long hauls so it must be stock reliable. Anybody have or had a Fundy engine good--- bad experiences? Thanks!!

Ray knows his stuff when it comes to Yamaha, I tried an 03 he had pushing about 190HP in his back yard and it pretty near pulled my arms off. I just talked to a guy whose nytro Ray did and it is dynoed at 162 and so far so good. A friend of mine was in Nova Scotia recently watching him race and he cleaned up, running against some sleds with alot more money in them. As for long term I can't say I know anyone first hand but Ray tells me he has done alot of work for trail machines and reliability hasn't been an issue, I guess it depends how far you want to push the envelope. On the same note he just installed nos on a buddy of mines mach z and it blew today, typical for this sled i think it is the third time it has blown, after the first one it went to Bikeman for a big bore and all its mileage is in an airplane! go figure Doo!!!

Kinger weve corresponded several times I was running a package at close to 190hp in the RApex-1. a stroked Apex motor with 1100 CC's, piped, air kit, fuel accelerator, Jerry Hauck clutch sheaves with a heel clicker II, 13mm sway bar, simmons skis, ohlin front shocks, bender reaction mono shock rear end, kimpex shotgun track with 96 down the middle. Plus many other (things).
She was the sweatest thing I have had the pleasure of riding. I got 3860 miles on this year in Minnesota, Wisconson, Upper Michigan, Idaho and Montana. It handled deep sloppy snow as well and pack fast and flat. It was as rideable a sled on the trail as any of my buddies ever sat on. It would stand on end coming out of the tight twisties and blow the doors off of anything on the lakes.
Last week I took on 03 F-7, 05 mach 1000, polaris 800, 2 Apex's, one Attack and some other guys who just wante to see what there sleds would do on Gogebic lake. The closest was 1 Apex piped, clutched, air box mods and fuel commander, 196 studs and I had him by over 20 sled lengths in 1/4 mile. On the trails this thing would outrun everything if you had the nerve to pull the trigger it would cut any corner you threw it into. 3800+ miles this year and never blew 1 corner not 1 ski off.
Saddly Saturday as I crossed the firesteel bridges on my way to Twin Lakes at 40 mph crossing the 2nd of 3 bridges the exhaust note went to a blat and then pow. The last ride of the 03 RX-1 that has taken me over 11,000 miles in its life since I bought it new was connected to a tow rope and pulled out by (fittingly) another 03 RX-1.
Long live the RApex-1
