Yamahammer485 said:Allen, the extroverts you have, what skidoo year are they from and most importantly, do you have the size of shaft that they will fit on? I will buy some extroverts off you tomorrow if you have them still.
The Ski Doo part number is 504152503 and they are from an early year MXZX if I remember correctly. The Yamaha shaft size is 1.0625" that they press onto. I do not have any Ski Doo extroverts left.

Yes, I did ask him, he said that he uses whal bros extroverts.
Sent you a pm Allen.
Are the doo extroverts really that much better? I did alot of research and came across a few threads saying that the tooth profile of the whal isnt quite as good as the doo and the quality of the doo extroverts.
Here is some links to what I mean.

I have 3000 miles on my Whal Extros. NO PROBLEMS!!
Sure I took the time to make sure they were in time and in line w/ the track. I have seen a few extros that were pressed on for people and they did not fit to the track windows.
Myself I would never give my money to brp. One of our mechanics had doo extros on his new xp and each cracked at different times.
just my .02

The Doo extroverts have the cut out for the guide clip along the track window and overall trueness, etc is just better. The XP doo extros are completely different than the extros you use on a Yamaha. I have read good things about Avid drivers, but I have never used them myself.

Does anyone know if you have to modify anything for an apex/attak to fit extroverts 9 tooth??
Reason for this is everything I have seen so far to do with rail clearances etc..

No mods needed to fit the 9tooth Whals in an Attak. There is PLENTY of clearance between the rail caps and the drivers
However I did remove the tunnel protectors for more clearance for the 1.5" track I installed last season.

am proabably going to buy these, just so i make sure, i need 2.52 pitch right? i know the shaft size 1.062 already. Do these go in the center og the shaft or on the outside and you leave the stock wheels in the center? thanks guys!

The extros are designed to be used by themselves. I was having so much trouble with ratcheting at the time, I considered trying to use the extros with the OEM also, but was talked out of it. Thinking back on it, not sure if you can synchronize all the teeth anyway. Haven't had an ounce of trouble since the install.

i know that local guys use them with stock wheels, but i heard that you need to take the time to time them properly, if you use them by themselves i guess they go on the outside?

The extro drivers will line up on the rails and holes in the track...
