Ulmer recommends the stock belt, and I’d listen to him. The belt being worn on one side points to clutches having incorrect offset or out of parallel, unless one of the sheaves has damage, but that should be visible with a simple inspection with the panels/guard/belt off the sled.

is this corrected by adding or taking washers out on my secondary clutch?Ulmer recommends the stock belt, and I’d listen to him. You do not take washers out of the secondary clutch to fix offset. There are thin washers behind the head of the bolt that holds the secondary on. There may also be washers behind the secondary on the jack shaft. A combination of thinner/thicker or more/less washers on one side of the secondary or the other will determine offset. Do a search in this Apex section to find the proper procedure for determining where you stand with your offset now. If your clutches are out of parellel you need to shift the engine to fix this.
