Just curious if I can expect an increase in fuel mileage after break-in. First few tanks I've gotten 12.5 mpg on my 2011 SE and hope to do a little better.

I ride kind of hard and my first 400,500 mi i was getting 12mpg,now i got 1000mi on it and 14 to 15 mpg is my averige. If i take it easy i have seen as much as 17mpg. The more it loosens up the better it will get. ;)!

Glad to hear that, those gas prices just keep going up! Seems like the low fuel warning is up with a little over two gallons in reserve,I guess better safe than sorry. Thanks for the reply....

I never got anything better then 15 mpg on my attak and usually averaged low 14s. 17 mpg is a tall order for overall riding unless something changed since the last mag test of 13.9mpg on the 2011 model.

SE with only 200 miles, so far about 14mpg with no agressive ridinig. Low fuel light came on this weekend at 80 miles, got worried and found the nearest gas. Took 6 gallons.

Well I'm at 500 miles now and getting over 14 mpg on the SE. Doing a little better than my buddys Etec 800 during the same rides. ;)!

I just bought a leftover 08. I have about 350 miles on it now and was getting a mear 12mpg as well. Im hoping to see better with the more mileage I put on. It is an MTX so I assume not to see much more that 14 ever but still getting 100 miles to a tank would be satisfactory.
