The manual says gearing is 24/38,what does that work out to be in MPH for that sled? When I look at the clutches there seems to be still 1/2 inch of shift out left, that was with runs on hard packed snow, and getting 117 on the speedo.Would it not be better to have full shift out,on other sleds gearing it down, did produce much better hole slot and increase of top end.Is it posibile the Apex is over geared from factory.

Using 8500 clutch speed shifted to 1 to 1 and 7.5" drive wheel's it work's out to 117. I went to 23/38 and that work's out to 112. I am thinking it will still pull the same topend because it will just over rev if you get in to cond's that will allow full shift. This motor only drop's off about 1 HP frome 10500 to 11000. kviper

What's a good gear ratio for 660 ft snow drag runs.
