The wire broke. Pulled the shock out and its broken off flush with the shock. Impossible to to fix with out taking it apart. Can I take the black piece the wire goes through off or do I have to send it to Pioneer?

I had mine warrantied twice for this problem.. the wiring was not routed correctly the first time, and the second time it was ice build up that ruined the wiring..
You can just replaced the soliniod, but im not sure what it will cost you.

i think it comes off pretty easy (i havent dont one)
you would have to get the solinoid from the dealer.. (i would contact PORTYAMAHA.COM)

I have a new solenoid and have not replaced it yet but it must be held in with a c-clip. I'm hoping I don't have to take the skid out to do it!
