This weekend I was changing the belt this weekend and noticed a hole in the bulk head right under the jack shaft. At some point I must have gotten either a big chunk of ice or more likely a rock between the track and the bulk head and broken a piece out (looks like the exit hole in an aluminum can after being shot) the hole is about the size of an orange. Looking at the Yamaha micro fiche I cant find a part number for just the bulk head. It looks like you have to order the whole assembly for about $1,000. Does any body have experience with this/advice?
Thanks

You dont have to buy the whole lot, they split in half.
Broke mine last year and got a second hand one for $100.00
Ask around the forum and you will get lucky.
Its a whole day to remove the bulkhead and put the new one back in if your fast with the tools. Also you will need a air pop reivet gun.

I got the front end of my '03 Rx-1 mountain pretty much ruined but we managed to weld it back together using the heads of the steel bolts NOT aluminum welding, it cannot take the strain at all. But you can buy half, it's like $1800 Canadian I think, atleast that's what Dad said it was gonna cost. Hey Niko, what is involved with replacing the bulkhead? Like what would I need to take out?

Yep so far works good. I had them put on a Camo extreme and a 19T top gear...now it will lift the front end...just got done doing the clutching tonight, hopefully get to run it a little bit tomorrow and see how I like the new set up....
