Apex mtx rear shock replacement

My rear shock is shot, and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction with a good replacement. I was also wondering would the rear shock off a Venture fit into the skid, I'm sure I read it somewhere on a forum but I couldn't find it again. Any help would be great. Thanks
