07 apex with just over 10k miles idles very rough when first started for the day. Seems like it isn't firing on all cylinders. It stalls sometimes too unless I give it some throttle. Donuts, flex pipes, and pipes were replaced last year (600 miles ago). After a minute or so it idles fine.

I also have a loud rattle at idle. Sounds like it is coming from the muffler but I do see exhaust floating around above the track up front near the axle. It is not the exchangers or cross pipe being loose as I've looked into that. I haven't removed the exhaust yet but I didn't see any noticeable cracks at the muffler y-pipe.

Could a donut have failed in 600 miles and cause both of my above issues? Any other ideas?

Did you replace the Y-pipes?
If so, with titanium or stainless?
My left side titanium broke within 500 miles of replacing the donuts on mine last year.

Had an improperly tightened donut clamp cause this after we serviced the donuts and pipes. Rattled when cold and got quiter as the engine warmed up

happened to mine the other day in -40 weather, only happened on the first start of the day. Went away once the temp light turned off. I figured it was cause of the cold

A dealer replaced them under YES so I don't know what material they used. They replaced everything but the muffler. My YES just expired a few days ago. It was -10 when it first did it but was 30 today and still did it.

It ended up being a cracked muffler. $1000 to fix. Ouch.

isn't the muffler stainless and repairable by welding?

1000$ the muffler new is 450! who's charging you 550 to install it?

Yea that is my plan once I get it back. I was just hoping it was covered under some recent warranty work.

Where you located? I've got a stock 06 muffler just sitting in the garage. PM me if your interested.

It was on the sled for around 4,000 miles. I swapped it for Hauck exhaust and it now has an under tunnel .

My 07 apex does that when real cold soaked...like 0 out or less. Just start the thing and leave it be.(I dont touch the throttle) Mine sounds like it will almost stall then it will slowly smooth out to a purr. the rest of the day stop and starting is normal.
