We all know the apex running boards suck for deep powder and always ice up and get slippery, anyone runing better boards? Wrp boards? Any others ? Was going to buy some RSI boards for a nytro mtx and see if I could fit them to my apex. Someone give me some guidance

What about the toothy Yamaha tunnel reinforcements, would that help? Easy add-on.

What are you doing with in constant deep powder with the Apex? Not the right machine... ;)

I put a set of better boards in mine. Not ideal with the heat exchangers running under the boards like they do, but at least now there is a chance that the snow falls out and what doesn't melts off faster.

What boards did you use?

Go to Yamahamotorsports.com, Snowmobile accessories, 2011 Apex (but same fit all the way back to 2006), Gripper tunnel reinforcements, SMA-8HG58-MT-00 for the black ones, SMA-8HG58-SL-00 for silver. About 137.00. If you have the dial adjuster on the drivers side(like in the picture) you just have to trim the dial adjuster plate to make it fit nice.
