"We just think that Yamaha will phase out this (Apex) model as it creates a top of the line Nytro-based groomed trail cruiser. We bet that Yamaha’s next hot rod trail cruiser will be lighter, quicker, more innovative and maybe minus the quad cylinder engine. Let’s see how we do with our guessing."

Ok, I totally don't understand going away from the 4cyl. What is with the huge three cyl Yammie and Doo? The bikes are 4cyl down to 500cc. And they have been for decades. There must be a good reason for that. I'd like to see a 600cc and 750cc 4cyl sled just like in the bikes. And a nice 200hp 1200cc at the top of the line. 3 cylinders is just plain odd! When's the last time you saw a high perf 3cyl car engine??

From what i have heard is that it will be a "rated" 160hp, but have a true hp of 168-170, just like the Nytro and new RS vector GT. Meaning way more hp, then the number being displayed.

Yamaha meeting for dealers in Canada is first week of Feb. Info about this new sled will be released then. My dealer said it's definitely a replacement for the Apex, but knew nothing else.
