Are the stock gears and chain strong enough?

With tuners offering more and more HP over the past few years, are the stock gears and chain strong enough to contain this power?
And as its often necessary to re-gear for this increased power, whose selling has the best/strongest gears and chain?
Retaining reverse would are nice, but likely not an option, and the added rotating mass would be undesirable anyway...

Thanks!

Scott Taylor has the best gears for the Cat Procross Chassis....

Stock gears and chain are quite strong, we've run them at over 400hp on clay with chisels and left on 9 lbs of boost on the 998 and they took it over and over again.

They are strong, 11000+ kms on my stock chain and gears @ 270+hp. My brothers viper has well over 400 horse, 1.1 60ft times on ice and it holds that.

X2. I wouldn't worry about strength but just keep up with lubrication and tension. Loose chains can break.

Good to hear those reports!
I remember the 1100s needing a chain right from the dealership and thought it might be the same for the 998.
Scott's T's website doesn't list gears for the 998
