Asphalt Results 2005

Matt - This is the funny part, no changes at all. That was the difference between lane 1 and lane 2. Lane 1 sucked big time! Didn't matter how much you burned up the track, it spun, and hopped like a bunny rabbit. I was so busy with the suspension, and track, I forgot to change my primary over. DUH!!!!I have Roc's primary, and the stock secondary with a green spring, and a straight 47 at 60%. (I was only running 8,900 rpm's!) I didn't bring my weights to change, so I left it, and concentrated on the suspension.

Don & everyone - I am running the same exact sled, same jetting, same gearing (stock 24/38 ), and still have the toolbox, and spare belt onboard. I am working in reverse BIG TIME! I even ran the QC-1 trail system from White Knuckle Performance. I want to see how much better the narrow track, and Wahl suspension gets this baby going. Then I can shave weight, try the GP1 exhaust, and mess with little things. We got it down to 11.237 with all the junk aboard, and stock items except for the narrow track and suspension. I smell 10's very easy.

Jason - I'm going to "Get 'R' Done!" Should be very soon now.

NOS-PRO: Terry Take your time!!! MAke sure your ready don't rush it. Like I said get first place this year and make us Proud!!!!!!!!!! You can do it!!!!!!!

;)!

Tyler, tried something different at the lights. Seems to be working.

Man, If I get this baby as consistant as last year, without redlighting, I think I have a great chance of taking home the BIG MONEY!

NOS-PRO and me are working on getting the vector ready for asphalt we will be running the same skids and track so it will be interesting to see the difference I can't wait.Ryan

4/24/05

What a cold $%^&*( Day!!! Started at 32 Degrees, and only got to 52.
Well, I put a primary together with Heavy Hitters,(7/16 steel with a thick washer in tip & middle), and stock spring.
Secondary stayed the same with, green spring set at 60%, and a 47 straight helix.

1st time run - Spun on cold surface. Lane 1
1.585 60ft. - 6.901 1/8mile @ 95.572mph - 11.167 1/4mile @ 111.805mph

2nd time run - Spun, but not as bad. Lane 2
1.524 60ft. - 6.907 1/8mile @ 94.713mph - 11.157 1/4mile @ 112.259mph

3rd time run - New belt, and did a monster burn out.
1.493 60ft. - 6.840 1/8mile @ 95.646mph - 11.052 1/4mile @ 112.879mph

1st round - Extremely close race against a pro bike. Win margin was .014 of a second. Didn't run what I thought it would. Lost 1st round. Dial in was 11.08
1.538 60ft. - 6.933 1/8mile @ 95.037mph - 11.114 1/4mile @ 111.431mph

Well, I am not redlighting, and going in the right direction.

Way to go Terry, what kind of revs were you at? Next time out try that secondary spring at 80 deg. or so after a couple of runs and see if you can get it in the 10's. Looks like our track won't be running until the July long weekend or so, so we'll be going down to Moorehead to keep in shape I guess. We'll probably head down for the season opener on the weekend of the 14th.

RPM's were at 10,100 with the HH's and the stock primary spring. Engagement was at 3,800, which is perfect.

Ryan - You went further than I did, buddy!

Yes, Allen, I will try and make it.

How are those tachs, did you receive them yet?

Terry, tachs were in Chicago as of yesterday and should be here probably Wednesday. Then I'll take a look at making a mount on Friday/Saturday.

Allen, I am trying to find a handlebar cover & pad, so I can cut it to fit the bracket thru. Let me know.

Also, I was going to bid on a non-reverse cover, but it has to be an 05 for the brake, and the shaft seal. How much for one?
