Racing has been put on hold due to the Governors and the Virus playing havoc on the whole system. That hasn't stopped me from getting ready and having the Sidewinder ready to go. Just finished up the switchover for the Sidewinder and working on the 1000 Pro Stock. 2 sleds pretty much ready to go.

2017 Sidewinder best time in 2019 was a 9.539 @ 134mph with stock gears (21/41). EVO Stage 4, Pro 4 primary, EVO Captain's Choice exhaust and Thunder Products Clutching. Complete stock suspension and I am 250+ with leathers.

Hoping to better that time and a good year!

Thank you Tony!!!

Yes, 134mph on stock 21/41 gearing is incredible! It's all in the clutching to make it work ;)

The Pro Stock 1000 best was an 8.49 @ 155mph last year and will be working on getting that down to 8.20's

5/9/2020 Mid Michigan Motorplex got the ok from the Governor to have private test sessions of 50 or less people and took advantage of getting there to do some time runs

Traction was really good as you can see..... I need to lower the rear suspension a touch to get it to shoot out, not raise the front end so much.

Temps were in the 40's, sunny with a 30+ headwind and running high 9's all day.

This 17 Winder has only these mods done...
Thunder Products Clutching
EVO Stage 4 tune @ 15.4 lbs. of boost (no launch control....all throttle)
EVO exhaust
EVO blow off valve with charge tubes
That's it! Everything else stock.

Impressive speed with that gearing. Any plans to throw some gear at it?

Yes, I will play with gearing a little

Trying to keep a killer 1/8th mile setup and still be able to run 1/4 mile for time runs

May 30th, Mid Michigan Motorplex....1st day of racing!!!

My son raced my Sidewinder and with spinning issues still ran 9.84 @ 130mph into a 16mph headwind.

The Pro Stock 1000 had issues with the center cylinder getting too much fuel and fouling out the center plug during my races. When all was figured out, changed jetting and adjusted the float level...it ran a time run of 8.80 @ 150mph.

Shagman's Winder ran good and consistent with a best run of 9.31 @ 136mph

Couple images from the last time at the track.

June 27th race went very well!

I put this SX Vmax in the semi-finals and broke out by .007 , ended up with a 3rd place finish!

My son did very well also on my Sidewinder going 5 rounds of racing! His best time was a 5.99 in the 1/8th.

The Thunder Products Pro Stock sled has been giving us problems all year so far and can't figure it out. It did give me a nice 5.442 1/8th mile at 125 mph.

July 10th and 11th race at Mid Michigan Motorplex! Was a hot weekend, but racing was awesome! Yamaha Sidewinder took home both wins in the Pro Mod and Extreme Outlaw class! This Sidewinder ran low 5.0's all weekend in the heat and headwind.

With the SkiDoo pro stock not running right, I was asked to run a turbo Viper in the Extreme Outlaw class and was in the semi-finals, but got taken out by the Sidewinder above. Very close race and the turbo Viper had more mph than the Sidewinder...but just a tickle slower 60 foot. What a power house Viper though.

Tim and Corbin with our Sidewinders went out early both days. All in all, a great couple of days of not worrying about Covid, riots and bullcrap from other parts of the country. We had a fish fry Friday night, a well cooked breakfast with pancakes, sausage and bacon and pork loin with all kinds of dishes that were brought in! Racing along with snowmobiling is family....don't care what you say, these people are the best on earth!

The Governor of Michigan is still playing havoc with people to wear masks and keep social distancing, but the racing is still on for this weekend 8/8/20.

Will definitely get some pics, videos and results to post after the race.

***Update on the Ski-Doo Pro Stock.... Everything has been checked over and the whole thing is pulled apart and the reed cage on the center cylinder came apart (the reed cage "snaps" together) and it was unclicked causing the reeds to hang open. New reeds and will get this thing back together :)

Well I’m glad you figured out the pro stock 1000 I know it has been having center cylinder problems all year I knew you would get it figured out, now to get down to that 820 mark!good luck& keep it shiny side up, tony aka brotherdan

The race took place August 8th, but was definitely a day with hope, smiles, anxiety and extreme sadness...this is saying it mildly.

Got to the track about 11am, setup and got ready to race. Just after 4pm, a sudden and steady rain fell upon us and all we could think was "Where in the hell did this come from?" It was zero chance of humidity and yet....we were drenched. That was an hour and a half of time taken away.

Just when we were going into round one, I saw a bunch of people moving around under the tower...so I went to see as I was the 1st pair of sleds to head up next. A man (who I won't post his name) fell backwards and hit his head on the blacktop. He was convulsing and choking on his saliva. People who were holding him didn't know what to do so my EMT instincts kicked in, removed my leathers and my helmet and began checking him over. He had a large laceration on the back of his head and was bleeding pretty good. Definitely did not know where he was and was not able to speak or understand what was being said. The ambulance from the county showed up and took over. I gave them all the info needed, track officials and other racers where shocked that I took control of the situation to make sure he didn't have a neck injury or other major injuries.

After first round, I received a message about my TY buddy and friend... Todd Kendrick "Onlyblue". With all that happened that day, I figured we wouldn't have anymore surprises. With my head not in the game anymore, I couldn't focus on racing as my good friend Todd was in a serious motorcycle accident and was not going to make it. I never made it to round 3. Rest in peace brother....

Good News is the Pro Stock 1000 is running again and some really good numbers. The best 0-60ft. has been a 1.200 and Saturday it did a 1.165 60ft. which is what I have been looking for all year! Since this was a bracket race, I dialed a 5.50 and the sled passed it's opponent at the 330ft, so I let off of the gas and just touched the brakes.....and still broke out with a 5.468 (That run would have been a 5.20 something pass)

My son Corbin went 2 rounds on my sidewinder.

Some other great news is that there were 2 records broken in Pro Stock 800 and Pro Mod also.

Here are some pics (Top 2 are the new record holders)
