Would there be any gains/losses on switching the Attak to a 24 top gear over the factory 23 tooth?
Have been thinking about this but I'm no gearing/clutching guru.
Thots

I have a 24 I'm going to put back in. I switched to a 23 when I extended my 121 to a 136. I rode for two season full season like this. I rode last weekend first time this season with 23 in. I took some hand notes I'm installing the 24 back in this weekend. its going to be warm don't plan on riding this weekend. I will post what I after I ride it. I'm curious as well. maybe pick up some of the lost mph I had as a 121 it hauled the packages then

ya i would be interested in yr result 2, i got 23 in when i extended also just cause hartman recommended it, but often thoght of puttin 24 back in to see the diff!

I will post with my results. I will be installing it on Friday or sat but will have to wait until it cools back off.

I've been running a 21 in mine since I got it. Lol. 1"hacksaw with 108 megabites down the center. Pulls like made and still runs 116-117MPH on GPS.

Lots of studs:)

Well I went fishing Friday morning while on ice I got to thinking. It was warm here all last week 35°f plus then it cooled off Wednesday and we got maybe a inch of snow wed into Thursday. It set ice up perfect for a few runs. I got out 6:30 am Sunday made two slow safe passes before I dreamed it safe no ice shoves to be found. I put my Xmas tree at the 1 mile mark for my slow down point. Sled seemed to come out of the hole slower than before and rpms were within 200 of what they normally are. RPM was less. Running wide open sled was at 10,650-10,750 wond out. Top speed GPS verified was 114 that was higher than normal. 106-109 was the norm with the 23. I have yet to trail ride this sled like this. My thought as of now is leave setup alone and going to fine tune it after or as I trail ride hopefully at some point this season. I'm going to guess its going to need some tweaking coming out of hole. I just need to get a baseline. I also have to add it was like driving on a rode with snow on top. I'm certain that I will never see those conditions again for awhile. I will post up if and when I get some real seat time in.

Still have not trail rode yet but.... I ran the gun 6 times today. 1st pass 79mph I almost sure I lifted before the end. The rest of my passes were 97,99 then it was break time sun came out 94,95 and 94. I was happy with my first three. My second three were warm weather based. I still need to run 24 in some trails. I will say coming out of hole rpms were a hair or two above 10k and finishing around 10.8. This was a blast and all numbers are proven. Thank you red river riders for putting this on.
