I had to change the hyfax on both sides on my VK540V today. Just 800 km and they are totally gone. The mechanic at my Yamaha store can't tell me what's wrong either. Normal snow conditions and the right track tension and everything. Nothing out of the ordinary, that's strange I guess.
Changed to Dupont slides and I hope they will last longer than 800 km.
Anyone else with strange wear on their VK540V?

I had the same problem with my VK Pro. I swapped out the original 5" idler wheels for 5-1/4" and haven't touched my sliders for 4000kms. It's faster as well
